Halcyon Hot Springs
It was important to start the day with a nice dip in the hot pools and then have a big breakfast. We went to the Hot Pools once more before dinner and again after dinner, before bed. It was a totally relaxing day, just floating around the pool.
Back Through Nakusp and to Ainsworth Hot Springs and Caves (September 28)
We left the Halcyon Hot Springs and headed back towards Nakusp. We stopped there for lunch and to find internet. We were lucky to get internet in the restaurant where we had lunch. When we were done we carried on to Ainsworth Hot Springs. We were a little apprehensive as everyone had told us there was no place to park the trailers there. As luck would have it they had just completed a new parking area and they allowed us for $5.00 to stay overnight in the parking area. These Hot Springs were interesting as they had caves that you could walk through. It was a little Clausterfobic but I did manage to make it all the way through and back out the other side. Since we were in the parking lot we decided to head to our next stop a day early.
