Exploring Campbell River
Wow it’s September 1st, we have been on the road for over 3 months now....we have seen and done so many things and there is more to come.
Today we drove into Campbell River to retrieve some Email and do some touring around. We had lunch and then Colin found a place to rent a Segway .....½ An hour for $15.00......he was thrilled! I stayed in the park with the dog and he had a ½ hour tour along the ocean. He has wanted to ride on one of these since they first brought them out and he finally got his chance. We checked out the price of crabs down on the docks and decided they were too expensive here.

On the way back to the trailer we pulled into a timber company road. There was a sign that said not to proceed till you checked in at the office so we turned left instead as Colin was trying to get a picture of the barges filled with wood chips lined up in the bay. He got out and I stayed in the truck. Just as he was coming back a guy in a big fork lift came ripping up the road, did a U-Turn behind the truck and started heading for the truck. Meanwhile Colin had got in and was in a hurry to get out of the guys way. I think that if we had not hurried he would have fork lifted the back of the truck right up! He followed us all the way to the highway......I don’t think he wanted us in there.

When we got back we had a hot tub and then cooked dinner.
