Touring Around Talkeetna

We have decided to stay here for 3 nights so today we took the truck filled up with fuel and did some touring around. We went off on some of the side roads and I use that term lightly. We found a lake where we could take the dogs for a swim and a beautiful clear river. Unlike all the advertising you see for around here, the rivers are full of silt washed down from their sources in the glaciers. Apparently they clear up when it starts to get cold and cloud up again in the spring.

We also stopped at the library again to use the internet and then went back to town to mail some letters. It was a rather lazy day.
